LIFE
AFTER DEFENCE

DVA, Entitlements and Veteran Support Advocates

"Alone, we can do so little, but together, we can do so much"

We would like to acknowledge all ex-serving and current serving members of the Australian Defence Force and thank you for your service

We pay our respects to the men and women that have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country and those that have left this world too early.

LEST WE FORGET

ABOUT

Life After Defence (LAD) is a veteran owned and run business designed to help both current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force and their families.

We created LAD to assist veterans and current serving members in accessing entitlements that they are eligible for due to the lack of transparency of information on discharge. We found after discharging, entitlement and support organisations policies and processes were quite complex and sometimes unknown to those discharging.

It is our mission to help as many service men and women navigate the entitlements process as quickly and easily as possible to not only get what they are entitled to, but to also be able to move on to the next chapter of their lives with as much positivity and support as possible.

Qualifications & Fees

Our head advocate has a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice which assists with understanding and interpreting DVA’s legislation, policies, procedures, and statements of principles.

He also is trained through the DVA ATDP course where he was mentored by RSL advocates and continues to learn and strive towards his level 3 in advocacy. We also have a Registered Nurse that helps go over the medical files and reports to help the advocate team to understand and link the injuries to service to help make the claims solid.

We want to be as transparent as possible to our members to show that we have nothing to hide. LAD feels that it is important to display our qualifications on our website to be honest and sincere as well as our members having all the information that they need to be able to make an informed decision.

We have no upfront fees and charge 5% once we get a permanent impairment or retrospective decision.
